June 15, 2004: UAE Deputy Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan Bids Farewell to U.S. Ambassador Marcelle M. Wahba

Deputy Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited the U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi on June 15, 2004 to bid farewell to departing U.S. Ambassador Marcelle M. Wahba. Ambassador Wahba finished her three-year tour as U.S. Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates and departed the UAE on June 17, 2004. Sheikh Mohammad toured the U.S. Embassy and met many of its staff.

Ambassador Wahba is returning to Washington to spend a year teaching at the National Defense University. During her three-year assignment Ambassador Wahba worked to strengthen the bilateral relationship between the UAE and the U.S. Among her notable achievements were the U.S.-UAE Strategic Partnership and the signing of the Trade and Investment Framework Agreement. Another milestone was the dedication of the new U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi in March 2004.
